ANGIE'S WEEKLY TEACHINGS
WHAT STUDENTS SAY ABOUT ANGIE'S TEACHINGS
A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ANGIE
I have an immense love for yoga, and I truly feel that my tireless devotion for my practice for almost 20 years has completely saved my life. As a child, I grew up practicing ballet, so the rhythmic movement & flow of the Vinyasa practice has always felt like home to me. I became a yoga teacher over a decade ago with AtOneYoga, and have been teaching , leading workshops, & Yoga Teacher Trainings all over the Phoenix Valley ever since.
During my corporate days, I worked in cardiology as a Market Development Manager for an Artificial Heart Pump. It was then, in 2013, that I traveled to India for the first time. I was a volunteer for a medical mission where we did cardiovascular screening for the Tibetan Refugees, and Tibetan Monks living high in the Himalayas in a village called Leh Ladakh. This trip set the tone for what would become the best, most rewarding adventure of my life. I fell in love with India and her relentless intensity, so I took the first opportunity I had to travel back, and this time it was to complete my advanced level 300 hour YTT. It was during this training that I had an awakening, by the third day, something in me shifted, and I immediately saw the world through a completely different lens. I knew after that experience, that it was my life's purpose to bring the sacred teachings forward to as many people as I could. It took a little time for the details to get sorted out, but three years ago, I took the leap and I walked away from my 16 year corporate career so I could live in alignment to my soul's true purpose.
I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to have traveled to India 10 times to study yoga with my teacher, Anand Mehrotra at Sattva Yoga Academy in RIshikesh. It’s been an honor to study with Anand, and the Sattva teachings have helped shape the teacher I’ve become. The past few years have been full of ups and downs finding my way as a Conscious Entrepreneur, but I know each and every experience is all part of my journey to help myself, and Others' find our way home.
Since my corporate departure, here's what I've been up to:
Teaching weekly Himalayan Kundalini Kriya classes at The Space Yoga in Phoenix, guiding 200/300 Yoga Teacher Trainings, teaching Meditation Initiation Weekends, guest teaching around the US, teaching at local & international yoga festivals, studying in India, leading International Retreats to India, Italy or Bali, and most importantly, playing fetch with my Golden Retriever puppy named Lucca!
I would love to meet you and welcome you with open arms into the Phoenix Sattva community. Please contact me anytime, or drop into the Space Phoenix and take a class with me.
Creating community is very important to me, so I promise you will feel welcome and at ease when you're in my presence.
UPCOMING RETREATS AND EVENTS
HERE'S WHAT THEY'RE SAYING ABOUT ANGIE'S RETREATS
I attended my first ever yoga retreat in Bali, Indonesia in August of 2019. It was a marvelous retreat with life changing outcomes.
With the wisdom and guidance of Angie Hall, my meditation practice makes more sense and has more meaning to me than it ever has. The shift started with learning techniques to help increase and improve my self love. The changes that I witnessed and felt in just a few days were substantial. Then add the backdrop of Bali, which was one of my “to do” list destinations, which elevated the experience to beyond wonderful.
Thank you so much for a beautiful experience.
I have to say the best part of the entire journey was the meditation and yoga practices in the mornings. Through this I learned more about myself and my own spiritual path, how to meditate in a way that brings me peace and not frustration, and I gained a deeper understanding about Sattva yoga. Angie makes what can be a confusing and obscure practice understandable and sustainable in daily life. This was not a "woo-woo sit around and navel gaze" experience, that would never work for me. This was real and deep and powerful. I feel deeply connected to everyone from the trip and they will be in my hearts forever. I am now meditating regularly in addition to my yoga practice. If I allow myself to become still, I can still feel the Bali breeze on my skin, hear the birds, smell the sweet air and feel the love of my new friends.
Angie’s retreats are life-changing, but they are also very intense. Do not sign up expecting a low-key vacation of pampering self-care. Though the locations are idyllic, and there are many memorable moments of humor, fun, and relaxation, that’s definitely not end game. You will work. You will move way beyond your comfort zone. And you will rediscover who you are in the process. It’s not easy. But it’s worth it. And if you show up and do the work, you will leave far better than you came, feeling lighter, more aware, and more rooted in your truth than you ever thought possible.
